- PT Kimia Farma Tbk ("Kimia Farma") achieved recognition at the Asian level by winning the "Community Initiative Award" at the Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability Awards 2025 (ACES) on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Jimbaran Convention Center, Bali. This award recognizes Kimia Farma's contributions to sustainable social, health, and environmental programs through an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach.
The ACES Awards are an Asian-level awards event that assesses corporate leadership and sustainability commitments through a rigorous assessment process. This year, the award process involved a selection process from 700 nominations from 14 countries, with only 73 companies in Asia receiving the award, including Kimia Farma.
Kimia Farma received the award through its sustainable community empowerment programs in the social, health, and environmental sectors. Over the past two years, Kimia Farma has implemented programs including free healthcare services through the Kimia Farma Healthy Action program, as well as mentoring and empowering MSEs/community groups, such as the Tempuyung Farmer Village Industry Development program, which empowers farmer groups to meet their needs for tempuyung, a raw material for Batugin Elixir production.
Kimia Farma's free healthcare program has successfully reached toddlers, pregnant women, and the elderly in 35 cities/regencies across Indonesia. These free healthcare services include health screenings (blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol tests), medical examinations and consultations, and medication dispensing by pharmacists.
As a commitment to sustainable development, Kimia Farma focuses not only on providing free healthcare services to the Indonesian people but also strengthens community group and Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) development programs to promote economic independence and achieve more inclusive growth. Currently, Kimia Farma has empowered and mentored 423 MSEs/community groups in 8 cities/regencies across Indonesia. Some of the empowerment and coaching programs implemented include business and marketing training for MSEs, provision and facilitation of MSE exhibitions and bazaars, assistance in issuing MSE business certifications, and empowerment of tempuyung farmer groups.
