KIMIA FARMA LAUNCHES PAIN RELIEVING INJECTION

PT Kimia Farma Tbk officially launched the Fentakaf injection product at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Indonesian Association of Anesthesiologists and Intensive Therapy Specialists (PERDATIN) 2025 on June 28, 2025 in Jakarta. Also present at the event were the Director of Portfolio, Products and Services of PT Kimia Farma Tbk, Jasmine K. Karsono, Ph.D., CRMP and the General Chairperson of PERDATIN, Inspector General. Pol. Dr. dr. Asep Hendradiana, Sp.An-TI, Subsp.T.I.(K), M.Kes.

The launch of Fentakaf in the PERDATIN National Working Meeting was to introduce the fentanyl injection product as a safe and effective anesthetic drug, so that it can be used by anesthesiologists during surgery. This is a strategic step for Kimia Farma in strengthening its position in the anesthesia and intensive therapy product segment. Fentakaf is a domestic product developed and produced by Kimia Farma itself at its production facility in Jakarta. Fentakaf contains local components and is designed to replace imported fentanyl injection products, so that it can reduce dependence on imported anesthetic drugs. Through this event, the Company informs anesthesia specialists to be able to utilize this domestically produced Fentakaf product which has met quality and safety standards. "Fentakaf is one representation of our enthusiasm to realize national health resilience through the development of domestically produced drugs. We believe that the presence of Fentakaf is one of the concrete efforts in reducing dependence on imported products and providing alternatives that are equivalent in terms of quality, safety, and efficacy," said Jasmine.

In Indonesia, Kimia Farma is the only pharmaceutical industry that has been granted permission by the Government to distribute narcotic drugs. Fentakaf products are available and can be used to replace imported fentanyl injection products starting in July 2025. Jasmine added that collaboration between the pharmaceutical industry and medical personnel is an important element in supporting the provision of quality and sustainable therapy for the community. Through this launch, Kimia Farma continues to strengthen its position and role as a pioneer in providing domestic strategic drugs, as well as an important part in the transformation of the national health system towards national health independence and resilience.
