PT Kimia Farma Tbk and Samsung Pharm Co., Ltd. (“Samsung Pharm”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the provision of production facilities on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Kimia Farma Head Office. This event was attended by the President Director of PT Kimia Farma Tbk, Djagad Prakasa Dwialam and his staff and the Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Pharm, SungTag Jung and his staff.
With the signing of this MoU, Kimia Farma will provide health supplement production facilities to Samsung Pharm in accordance with the specifications that have been set. Samsung Pharm is a pharmaceutical company from South Korea engaged in the manufacturing, supply, and distribution of pharmaceutical products. Samsung Pharm has produced several pharmaceutical products ranging from Ethical Pharmaceuticals Products, Healthcare Products, to Over The Counter Drugs Products.
“We welcome the trust given by Samsung Pharm to Kimia Farma. This collaboration is proof of the Company's commitment to maintaining the trust of partners, especially in terms of providing quality and standardized production facilities,” said Djagad on Monday (3/3/2025).
As a pharmaceutical company that has long been active in Indonesia, Kimia Farma has certified production facilities. This is a form of quality assurance in every processing process to meet quality, efficacious, and safe products. Several certifications that have been obtained include the Good Manufacturing Practice (CPOB) certificate, Good Manufacturing Practice for Traditional Medicines, Traditional Medicine Industrial Production obtained from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) and Good Manufacturing Practice for Medical Devices obtained from the Ministry of Health. Then, Kimia Farma has also obtained a Halal Certificate, ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015, and ISO 45001: 2018.
In addition, Kimia Farma also provides toll manufacturing services for other companies according to requests and cooperation, as agreed between KAEF and Samsung Pharm. The company believes that this synergy can produce competitive health products, especially to support the health of the Indonesian people.
