KAEF COMMITMENT TO BPOM ORANG TUA ANGKAT JAMU PROGRAM

Ambon, February 10th, 2023 - a commitment signing and handover of assistance for Orang Tua Angkat Jamu Program was held at the Santika Premiere Ambon Hotel with the theme "Building the New Glory of the Indonesian Spice Route." The Orang Tua Angkat Jamu Program is a collaboration between Kimia Farma, BPOM, and other companies that aims to provide assistance and mentoring for 20 food MSMEs and 50 Jamu Gendong entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, the Head of BPOM also witnessed the signing of the OTA commitment for Food MSEs and Traditional Medicine in Maluku and handed over directly to MSEs in Maluku in the form of Distribution License Number for traditional medicine and processed food products, certificates for Good Traditional Medicine Manufacturing Methods (CPOTB) Phase I and Permits for Implementation of Good Processed Food Production Methods (CPPO; as well as certificates for Processed Food Safety Management System (SMKPO).

To enhance the competitiveness of traditional herbal medicine MSMEs, including traditional jamu gendong, BPOM collaborates with large traditional medicine industries through Orang Tua Angkat Program. The traditional herbal products sold have been supervised by BPOM so that there is no doubt from the public. In the agenda of signing the program commitment and providing assistance, represented by the Business Manager of Kimia Farma Apotek Makassar Business Unit.

This program is expected to motivate MSMEs to be committed to providing quality products, namely products that are safe, efficacious, useful, and of good quality.
