KIMIA FARMA PLANTS 5100 COFFEE TREES IN THE GERTAKI PROGRAM

Friday, August 6th, 2022 - the One Million Coffee Tree Planting Movement (GERTAKI) was held in Cipelah Village, Ciwidey, West Java. This activity is one of the SOE Social Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Collaboration Programs. In the GERTAKI Ceremony, the Deputy for HR & IT of the Ministry of SOEs, Tedy Bharata.

GERTAKI was attented by 21 SOEs and a total of 213,756 coffee trees were planted by 20 other SOEs. In addition to the procurement of coffee seeds, the proceeds from the collaboration of SOEs are used for the maintance and development of post-harvest processing support facilities.

Kimia Farma contributed by planting 5100 coffee trees. This is a form of Kimia Farma's support for efforts to maintain coffee quality and productivity in Indonesia. In the sense that it can increase local coffee production capacity to meet market needs, both domestically and abroad.

This support is certainly in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) points which are the reference for Kimia Farma in spreading benefits. Among them are SDGs no. 1 concerning the Eradication of Poverty through the cultivation of productive commodity crops and SDGs no. 3 on Economic Growth and Decent Work.

With collaboration between SOEs, it is hoped that the SOE Service Program can have an impact and be sustainable.
